How To Talk To A Man… A Secret Every Woman Should Know
Modern science has allowed us to study the male and female brains and come up with conclusions as to why we are so different. This is mainly down to how our brains are structured.
Starting from the following assumptions (which are considered a general rule for 90% of the population), we know that:
- Women can communicate much better than men.
- They focus on how to create a solution by talking…(sometimes a lot).
- They utilize many non-verbal cues such as tone, emotion and empathy.
- Men on the other hand, tend to be more task oriented.
- Less talkative and more isolated.
- Men have a hard time understanding emotions that are not spoken.
These differences clearly explain why men and women sometimes have difficulty in communication and why men-to-men friendships look different from friendships among women.
How then should a woman communicate with us Men?
Start by accepting that MEN ARE DIFFERENT! This is the first thing you need to comprehend. What does it mean then? Have you ever felt like speaking a completely different language with a guy? This is exactly why it happened.
We are so different that sometimes we can’t even communicate. You may need to lower yourself to our level communication. This means that you need to vocalize your emotions. Doing so will give you a much better chance to communicate effectively with a man.
Let’s take a small example so you can visualize this better.
Jack: What’s up with you? Is everything OK?
Jane: Nothing, I’m fine.
Classical situation, Jack understands that she is fine and he can continue without any hesitation what he is doing. In the meantime, Jane is giving him multiple non verbal ques which Jack is not capable of reading. What Jane needs to do is to TELL HIM what’s wrong. It’s that easy.
Sure, your best friends get you and maybe even your husband if you’ve been together for years but, the average guy or even your 2 year long boyfriend won’t. Lowering yourself down to our more simple way of communicating will only make life easier for all of us. Thank You 🙂
